About me

I am a qualified, experienced Gestalt Counsellor.  Gestalt is a humanistic/existential therapy which focuses on our individual experiences and how we relate to others and our environment.

My Services

My private practice is run from my home in Botley, Southampton. Our sessions will take place in a room in my house, used solely for counselling. I am easily accessible from Hedge End, the M27, Eastleigh, also Bishop Waltham, Swanmore and Wickham.

I offer daytime, evening or weekend weekly sessions to suit you.  Generally we will meet on the same day at the same time each week.

We may work either short term for 6 -12 sessions, or longer term. Either way, we will consider your needs together and agree on your priorities and timescales.

  • My fees are £50 per 50 minute session

  • I offer a free initial consultation before you commit to counselling

  • I can offer either face to face, telephone or online counselling via Zoom, depending on your requirements

  • I also offer Walking Therapy for those of you who may
feel more at ease talking amongst nature.

I am committed to my professional development so regularly attend workshops and conferences which continue to enhance my practice.

I have worked in education for over 20 years. I have previously volunteered at two local charities, Eastleigh Bereavement Services and Life Changes Counselling in Southampton.

   People can become stuck in
fixed patterns and beliefs about themselves, their relationships and the world around them.
My aim is to help you find new and more creative ways to resolve the problems you are facing.

Testimonials

"From my very first session with Sarah I found her incredibly easy to talk to and build a rapport with. She has created a warm environment that is non judgemental and incredibly supportive. I cannot thank Sarah enough and I would recommend this counselling service to all."

Jess

“Sarah provides a calm and safe space for counselling sessions. Her approach is warm, caring and friendly with a dash of humour (when appropriate). She really helped me navigate through some big issues (past and present) and gave me some practical coping mechanisms that I use in daily life now. Thank you Sarah. “

Briony

“As someone who was completely new to counselling, Sarah provided a safe enviroment in which I felt comfortable to discuss how I was feeling. I was apprehensive about counselling, but Sarah made me feel reassured that the issues I faced were normal and manageable. This led to me experiencing great improvements in my overall mood and self confidence. I would recommend Sarah to anyone needing support or guidance with their mental health or personal issues."
